L.A. GUNS Guitarist TRACII GUNS Interviewed In Buenos Aires
May 25, 2010Glamnation Party conducted an interview with L.A. GUNS guitarist Tracii Guns on Saturday, May 22 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Watch the chat below.
Glamnation Party takes place every month in Buenos Aires and features live performances by the best bands from Argentina and the rest of the world.
Last Friday, Guns was inducted as "Glamnation Party Godfather" and he played "Kiss My Love Goodbye" with COVERHEADS, the Glamnation Party resident band.
L.A. GUNS (featuring guitarist Tracii Guns),FASTER PUSSYCAT and JOHN CORABI (former MÖTLEY CRUE singer) will join forces for "The Triple Threat Tour", which will run from mid-July through late August.
The Tracii Guns-led version of L.A. GUNS has inked a deal with the Steve Vai-owned label Favored Nations/Jibboom, which is Favored Nations Entertainment's rock/metal division. This division stands separate from Favored Nations Entertainment and will be the label's home for all things hard rock and metal.
Favored Nations/Jibboom reissued the 1999 L.A. GUNS album "Shrinking Violet" on May 25. The LP was completely repackaged with new artwork and five brand new, never-before-heard, live bonus tracks, including "Rip And Tear", "Never Enough", "One More Reason" and "The Ballad of Jayne".
L.A. GUNS has been touring in two competing lineups: one featuring Tracii Guns, and another led by his Eighties bandmates, singer Phil Lewis and drummer Steve Riley. "Tracii's L.A. GUNS is bogus," Riley told Rolling Stone magazine in a 2009 interview. "People want to hear the songs sung by the original lead singer." Guns countered, "Those guys are a couple of dirty motherfuckers. I hired them for my band — if you get hired as a manager at McDonald's, you don't take over the McDonald's."
The Tracii Guns-led version of L.A. GUNS is:
Tracii Guns - Guitar
Jeremy Guns - Bass
Jizzy Pearl - Vocals
Chad Stewart - Drums
